Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The Black Health Professionals Network (“BHPN”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, membership tiers, and related activities. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1. Membership Tiers

BHPN offers three membership tiers:

• Network (Free): Provides access to member newsletter and public resources.
• Build ($29.99/month or $329.99 annually): Includes all Network tier benefits, plus access to business development support, member access to events, and tools for aspiring entrepreneurs.
• Grow ($49.99/month or $529.99 annually): Includes all Build tier benefits, with the addition of personalized mentorship programs, and advanced tools for business owners.

1.1 Free Trial

• New members for the “Build” and “Grow” tiers are eligible for a 14-day free trial.
• Upon the conclusion of the trial, your membership will automatically convert to the selected paid tier unless canceled before the trial ends.

2. Payments

• All payments are processed by credit card through WooCommerce, our payment processor.
• Payments include applicable taxes based on the member’s province of residence.
• Membership fees are non-refundable, including during partial use of a billing period or trial.

2.1 Automatic Renewals

• Memberships will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually).
• Members may opt out of automatic renewals through their account settings or by contacting BHPN support at least 7 days before the renewal date.

2.2 Failed Payments

• If a payment fails, members will receive a notification and their membership status will be placed on hold. 
• Failure to resolve payment issues will result in termination of membership.

2.3 WooCommerce Terms

• Payments are processed securely through WooCommerce. Members are encouraged to review WooCommerce’s Terms of Service for more information: WooCommerce Terms of Service.

3. Cancellation

• Members on monthly plans may cancel at any time. Services will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
• Annual memberships can be canceled but will remain active until the end of the annual term.

3.1 Refunds

• BHPN does not issue refunds for any payments made during the duration of your subscription. Upon cancellation of your subscription, you will not be eligible for a refund or reimbursement of any payments already processed. All payments are final and non-refundable.

4. Data Security and Privacy

• BHPN is committed to protecting the sensitive data of its members. All payment and personal information is securely stored and processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

5. Limitation of Liability

• BHPN is not liable for interruptions in service due to technical issues, failed payments, or other circumstances beyond our control.
• Members agree to use BHPN’s resources and services at their own discretion and risk.

6. Member Conduct

Members agree to use the platform responsibly and refrain from:

• Sharing false or misleading information.
• Engaging in activities that disrupt the platform’s operations.
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.

8. Amendments to Terms

BHPN reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
